Original Gameboy DMG Prosound Mod

I got my triwing screwdriver in the mail, you know what that means, it’s time to open up my gameboy and add the prosound modification! Why? Well if you are into creating chiptunes, this upgrade will improve the gameboy’s sound quality, giving you better results when recording or playing over a PA or stereo system. It’s a direct output that bypasses the noisy headphone amplifier.
This is a DIY project. Basically all your doing is connecting a 3/8″ jack to the the gameboy’s circuit board. For a more in depth explanation of the procedure, I would recommend these pages: Low Gain | game boy sound comparison.
